Base Elements – collaborating with Nú Ninja and Artspace Tours – organized for the first time a Urban Reality mini festival during the last holiday season. Visitors could enjoy series of weekend celebrations, artist hang-outs, group show, live events and much more! For those who couldn’t attend the event, from the inauguration to the mini-markets, here is a quick resume of what you missed out.
The Urban Reality mini festival started with an inauguration party at Base Element gallery on November 29th. This friday night, a DJ set done by some of the artists themselves – Ashwan and SOEM – animated the groupshow. New installations and artworks were especially brought for the event thus creating a unique atmosphere to the party. There was no better way to start this Mini Festival than with good music, drinks and great art!
In December, the gallery also held the Perspective party with an astounding DJ set. The DJ´s Zander, Phoenix Rae, Carlo Gossa, Alex Clavijo, Moreon and Kenso participated and mixed to this 2nd edition surrounded by a colorful Ashwan piece made with only carton.
Usual artists from the gallery offered shows, lives and made the event alive! Art is Trash, Cane, D.A.T, Soem, Art is Trash, Soem, Ivana Flores, Cane, Ashwan, D.A.T, Ilia Mayer, J Loca, Sensible, SM172… They all participated to this Mini Festival with a terrific energy for your greater enjoyment.
Each weekends, visitors could meet the artists and get to know their work with pop-up markets happening every Saturday. With the guest artists – Riq Etiq, Disneylexya, David Young, Nevenka, Baita and Kamil – at the gallery especially for the event, we undoubtedly had a blast! Moreover, you could also discover new installations, live paintings and DJ sets. Last but not least, Artspace Tours offered during the Mini Festival free guided art tours starting from the gallery.
We want to thank you all for your visit and this amazing experience. Big thanks to everybody that were involved with putting up the Urban Reality Mini Festival and special thanks to the artists for the unique vibes they created during to this event. We hope to see you soon at Base Elements gallery!
